Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT HENKEL November 26, 1935 - December 7, 2015 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert Henkel on Monday, December 7, 2015. Robert leaves to mourn his wife Nancy, of 60 years; four children, Jody (Patti), Terry, Gina and Steve (Carol); along with grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Kevin, Kelsey, Jason (Amanda), Danielle, Carter, Ava, Steve (Holly), Tyler, Mya, Kyle and Ryan, Jullian; as well as his brother Herman (Deanna), whom he was very close to; his sisters, Hilda, Elsie, Christine and Esther; special friend Gino (Lisa) and many nieces and nephews. Robert drove truck for United Van Lines for 42 years until his early retirement. After his retirement he enjoyed his life in Ashern by camping and spending time with his wife and family. A special thank you to Concordia Hospital for their care in his final days. Also a special thank you to his niece Dawn for being here with the family during this hard time and a thank you to grandson Jason for being with his grandfather until the very end. We would also like to thank his friend Nick for caring and helping the family. Thank you all very much. A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, December 12 from 1:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. at Jason and Amanda's home. Please R.S.V.P. Jason at 204-229-3262.
