JOYCE MCRAE Joyce Mabel McRae passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Donwood Manor, in Winnipeg, at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband Duncan, brothers Tom and Art, and sister Gertrude. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter Vanessa Bruzell (Blair), daughter Debby Boyes and son Duncan (Kris). Joyce was a proud grandmother of five: Cameron and Colin McRae (Jacquelin), Andrew Boyes (Sanaz), and Lukas and Lars Bruzell. She was also extremely pleased to be the great-grandmother of three: Anna, Mack and Mira. Joyce worked for many years for Dr. Kettner and Dr. Kocsis, at their offices on 1717 Main St. In her later years, she did volunteer work with Age and Opportunity as a travel supervisor and income tax advisor. Joyce's commitment to The Kildonan Community church and to the congregation was a mainstay of her life. She was a member of the Mary Nisbet Auxiliary and was a strong supporter of all the church's functions. Joyce especially loved warm gatherings with her longtime friends. Her even temperament, wise ways, and generous nature will be sorely missed. An interment service, will be held in the spring, date to be announced. The family wishes to thank her friends, and the nursing staffs at both Misericordia Hospital and Donwood Manor, who were her strong supporters in her last days. If you wish, donations may be made to the Kildonan Community Church, 2373 Main St., Winnipeg, MB R2V 4T6.

Aunt Joyce was such a gentle lady who was always so elegant and approachable. She possessed a way that made all who knew her very comfortable and warm which seemed to be a common trait of her brothers Tom and Art and sister Gertrude. We offer our sincere condolences to Debby,Duncan,Vanessa and family in your loss. Memories are to be cherished and we are sure you have many to hold your Mom close to your hearts. - Posted by: Maureen and Bob Spiers (Niece (Maureen) nee Weston) on: Jan 20, 2016

I have known Joyce and her family for many decades. I also babysat her children once in awhile. Although my husbands career moved us away from Winnipeg, I was able to keep up with most news of friends through my mother and sister. On the passing of my mother, I was able to have a nice visit with Joyce. My condolences to her family. Memories are wonderful! - Posted by: Gwyn Perkins (Edwards) (Friend) on: Dec 17, 2015

When they announced at Church that she had passed away, I remembered I had thought about her the week earlier. I was shocked to hear that she was gone, even knowing she had been failing in the last year. She was the first person to befriend me at the Church when I started going there. She then became one of my clients for hearing at the Winnipeg Hearing. So sad about -- our loss... Please accept my sympathy. - Posted by: Dianne Lubinski (through church and I am her hearing aid specialist) on: Dec 14, 2015
