Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROLYN ANN YURCHAK December 11, 1953 - December 10, 2015 Peacefully with her family by her side, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Carolyn Ann Yurchak passed away at the age of 61 years at St. Boniface Hospital. Left to cherish Carolyn's memories are her loving husband Jim, daughter Lori (Remi), son Kevin, her pride and joy grandson Aiden, brothers Gerry (Carol) and Lloyd (Cathy), along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents Ann and Tony Bochen and her brother Bob. Carolyn was born in Selkirk, Manitoba and grew up in the north end of Winnipeg. She attended many schools in the area and graduated from St. Johns High School. In 1975 she met the love of her life, Jim, and they married May 1, 1976. She worked for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company doing underwriting policies. After Lori and Kevin were born she stayed at home and decided to start looking after many children from home which she loved. Carolyn then decided to re-enter the work force in 1995 where she worked as the Branch Administrator for Manitoba and Northwest Ontario at Garda World Cash Services for 20 years. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandson, watching old movies and English T.V. shows (Coronation Street), puzzles, relaxing on the deck, going to the lake, walks and road trips to the United States. Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street in Winnipeg Manitoba. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Special thanks to the medical staff at the ICMS unit and Hematology department at St. Boniface Hospital for the care given to Carolyn. 204-586-8044

I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish our paths had crossed differently and I was able to know her in her healthy lifetime. She sounds like she was an amazing woman. I saw it reflected in her family also. She did leave behind a legacy in all of you who were a constant advocate and support for her. She often crosses my thoughts. Jim & Family, Our sincere condolences to you all. Carolyn was the glue that held Loomis/Securicor together for many years. Brian always enjoyed a visit with Carolyn when he visited the old branch.He has many great memories of working with her thru many ups & downs at work. HER smile helped him get thru many stressful times. She was a warm & friendly person who shone with an inner light of a beautiful person inside. She will be missed by many. I was deeply saddened to hear of Carol's passing....Memories of the "double dates " we shared with Gord and Bruce/Dianne in the early seventies came flooding back to me..
