Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER DOELL Peacefully, and surrounded by family, on December 15, 2015, at Action Marguerite (Tache Centre), Peter F. Doell passed away. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a wonderful man; a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Vera, of 62 years; daughter Deborah Lofto (Dale); grandsons Randall (Tamara), Richard (Rita), Christopher (Veronica), and great-granddaughter Tessa. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Henrietta Doell, and brother William. Pete was born in Plum Coulee, Manitoba on August 8, 1926. He drove for Greyhound Bus and retired after 31 years. So many happy times were spent with his family; highlighted by the many hours with his three grandsons. Their Papa provided them with such wonderful memories. He always made time for others, fixing something and helping out where he could. Pete had so many hobbies including playing guitar, keyboard, violin and accordion; using those gifts to play in bands and entertaining so many. We would like to thank the staff at Tache Centre 3-ABC for their kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street on December 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. I had the privilege of meeting him in the home when he first came in. He always impressed me with his kindness and loving words and in the stories he would tell me. I always admired all the gifts and talents's that he had. He never ceased to amaze me. I am proud to have met his acquaintence he was truly a man of devotion and spiritual strength. Neighbours for the most part are the luck of the draw. There are neighbours, and there are NEIGHBOURS!!!. Those of us fortunate enough to have had Pete Doell as one of theirs can vouch for the value of the difference. I've yet to have another so genuine, friendly, and helpful and doubt I ever will.
