LAURETTE MANAIGRE (née CLOUTIER) May, 1931 - December, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend on December 18, 2015, at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 84. Laurette will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Brigitte (Lou), Michèle (Derek), and Marc (Lisa), and grandchildren, Laura (Aaron), Myles, Gabriel, Olivia, Eva, and Isaac. She was predeceased by her husband, Rolly, in 2003, and her infant son in 1963. Laurette leaves her sisters Madeleine and Noëlla, as well as Rolly's brothers René, Maurice (Yolande), Patrice (Yvette), Lucien (Léona), Louis (Pierrette), and sisters Lucienne, Annette (Gérald), and Jeanine (Joe), her in-laws Marcel and Joanne, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Predeceased family members include sisters Henriette, Elaine, Thérèse, Lucille, and brother Harvey. Mom was born in the prairies of Ponteix, Saskatchewan. As a young woman she moved to Lorette where she met Rolly, her future husband of 51 years. Mom enjoyed several careers including teaching, bank telling and data processing. However, her true passion and gift were homemaking and caregiving. Our collective cherished memories of Mom include: driving a grain truck on the farm, snowmobiling with Dad in their matching suits, eating her home-made cinnamon buns, helping her solve a Saturday morning crossword puzzle, making tourtière and crème brulée, playing cards or cribbage at the cottage, travelling the world with family and friends, curling and bowling with friends, flawlessly waltzing with Dad, sewing and designing our dresses and costumes, and tending to her bountiful garden. Above all, Mom lived her life generously and loved spending time with her family; giving unconditional love to her fortunate children and grandchildren. True to Mom's humble nature and at her request, a private funeral service will be taking place. Family and friends are invited to a reception in Mom's honour which will take place on Wednesday, December 23 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Windsor Park Canad Inns at 1034 Elizabeth Road. Un grand merci chaleureux à Riverview. The kind and professional care provided by the 3E Palliative Care staff helped Mom pass gracefully. Donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre or CancerCare Manitoba. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
