  • My condolences to gale and her family and Chris s sister char for the passing of Christopher as I've had trouble putting into Words. I have many child hood memories of Chris at Broad Bay as well as him coming to our home when he parked his ski-doo at our place in the country. This is how I met gale many years ago as a kid. I admired chris as a youngster and truly he was my super hero growing up to the point I changed my name to chris at the age of 12, then being called CJ.There wasn't nothing he couldn't do he was just that smart and talented. I will miss his smile and laugh and thank you for being in my life. It was chris who introduced me to the drums as well as snomobiles and truly inspired me cause I just wanted to be like him. What I wouldnt give to have us all around the supper table to tell you how you influenced me as a child. Thank you Chris rest in peace till we meet again. Luv CJ. - Posted by: Chris Kilpatrick (Cousin) on: Sep 09, 2017

  • Gayle & family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. my heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of year. i have a lot of great memories of Chris, snowmobiling, fishing, the time we worked in Alberta and trips together to Bird lake and of course the cottage. I stopped by the cabin in 2015, but missed you guys. The trees Chris planted have all grown and look wonderful. i remember the trips he made across the lake water in canoe to harvest and transfer. Wow ... I know he loved to spend time at this place with you Gayle & the kids. I trust your memoirs will carry you all and Chris's love will always be remembered. - Posted by: Leslie Welling (Friend ) on: Dec 15, 2016

  • Over the last forty-something years, every time I heard Ten Years After or listened to BB King, I immediately thought of Chris. He introduced me to The Blues. Chris was very passionate about music. He was a good friend and a good person. I grew up with the Ewan family and there are many great childhood memories I will always hold dear to my heart...My deepest condolences to you, Gayle, to your children and extended family. - Posted by: Karen Zaretski Friesen (Friend) on: Mar 01, 2016

  • Thanks to Chris I had a great Youth. Going to Broad Bay friday and saturday nights, listening to tunes, being with many freinds. In summer head to the beaches in nice cars and live la vida. He was so good at skiing. In winter their were a lot of snowmobiles and the fun went on. Later they bought the cottage property and had many sunny days. True respect,Deep Sadness, lost for words.
