MARIAN PLANT 1926 - 2015 Our family is saddened by the sudden loss of Marian Plant on Saturday, December 19, 2015. Marian was born in Sandy Hook, Manitoba, one of 10 children. She married JP (Walter Plant) in 1945, and they moved shortly after to Winnipeg, where they raised their two children, Valerie and David. Marian had a lengthy and gratifying career at Eaton's, working in the bridal registry and the china department, where she made lasting friendships. Marian was a patron of the arts. She held season tickets to the Prairie Theatre Exchange, and she filled her home with Valerie's artwork. She loved music, reading, and gardening. She enjoyed travelling, especially to the UK and visiting relatives across Canada. Throughout her life, Sandy Hook remained significant, where she owned a cottage since 1964. She always enjoyed the lake, watching the birds, and spending time with her loved ones. She was predeceased by JP in 1994 and Valerie in 2002. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by family and friends, her son David, daughter-in-law Janice, and granddaughters Jocelyn and Jessica. A private family service has been held. A memorial service will take place at a later date. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
