ROBERT (BOB) NOBISS It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing and loss of our dad, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Robert (Bob) Nobiss. Dad's life was cut short on Monday December 28, 2015 at the age of 64 years. He leaves to mourn Carol; his son Shane (Dallas); his daughter Vanessa; his grandsons, Jonah, Colton, and Jason; his sister Betty; his brother-in law Chuck as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Bob was predeceased by parents Pearl and Maxim; brothers Raymond, Rick and Peter, and sisters Gail, Mickey and Marilyn. Dad was a hardworking man who was employed with the City of Winnipeg for 36 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a great friend to those in the past as well as the present with many funny stories to share. As a father, he had a heart of gold and was loving, selfless, generous and humorous. He will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing his life. In keeping with dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday January 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A private Family interment will be held at a later date. Dad, you will be terribly missed, forever in our hearts and never forgotten from "Daddy's Little Girl" and you're "Number 1 Son". CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

  • I met Bobby in 1979 when I first started with the City of Winnipeg and yes, he was a very hard working man. He used to say to me every morning before we started work, "Good Morning, my one friend", but every one knew that he had many friends. I didn't realize how much of an honour that was. He used to call me "Magic" and I used to call him "Arnold from the show Happy Days". He truly was a kind, gentle, generous to a fault, man, and he will be missed terribly. - Posted by: Robert Parker (Close Friend and Co-worker) on: Jan 05, 2016

  • Although I have not seen Bob in close to 50 years I do recall his kindness to me at William Whyte Elementary School. Over the years I have thought about him and how his life had turned out. Appears to have turned out good. RIP Bobby, old chum - Posted by: Joe Majowski (School mate) on: Jan 04, 2016

  • I've known Bob since I was a kid. He was the best father anyone could ask for! Sunday dinners at his apartment was always pot roast done to perfection. He was an awesome cook. He referred to us as the three musketeers (Lisa, Vanessa and I) He would play the spoons and entertain us for hours. He would always laugh at us when we were bickering, "just like sisters" he would always say. He will be terribly missed! Jana - Posted by: Jana (Family Friend) on: Jan 04, 2016

  • I only had the pleasure of knowing Bob for a short time but that time will always be treasured. Bob was truly such a sincere, kind and gentle soul. I quite enjoyed our little talks we would have and always looked forward to spending time with him embracing his wisdom over a few drinks on Fridays with all our close friends. I will never forget how special he always made me feel with his kind words and endless compliments. You will be greatly missed!!
