DONNA MCLEOD (nee MORRISON) October 8, 1938 - December 24, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Donna McLeod on December 24, 2015 at the Health Sciences Centre. Donna was born and raised in Killarney, Manitoba before moving to Winnipeg as a young woman. In 1956, she married her soul mate Hughie and they had enjoyed close to 56 years of marriage at the time of Hughie's passing in 2012. Donna will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Curtis (Donna); daughter Jill (Carlos); beloved grandchildren, Paul, Kate and Rachael; brother Mac (Donna) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband (Hughie); parents, (Alex and Annie); siblings, (George, Georgina, Doreen, JoAnne, Agnes and Mary); niece Shelley; and aunt Christina (Auntie'). Donna had a heart of gold' and loved her family more than anything. She took much pride in the many accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was thoughtful and caring; an avid sports fan and had a soft spot for animals. Donna was a true treasure for all who had the good fortune to know her. She will be truly missed but we find peace in knowing that she is at rest now with her heavenly Father. Respecting Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place and no public funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society at 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.
