WILF POINTON On December 30, 2015, Wilf (Willy) Pointon took God's hand and went gently to rest. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years Brenda, son Chris (Albertine), daughters Cheryl (Chris) and Lisa (Sean), grandchildren Destyn, Devin, Simon, and Julian. He will be dearly missed by so many. His brothers Jim (Val), Richard (Paulette), Norm (Leanne), and Tom. His sisters Pat (Bill), Pam, Wendy (Jerry), Debbie (Bruce), Linda, and Brenda (Garth). His extended family, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Wilf was predeceased by brother Bob (Janis), brother-in-law Doug (Noreen), and brother-in-law Grant (Linda). Willy enjoyed travelling, spotting vintage cars (hot rods) wherever he went. Spending time with family watching grandchildren playing violin, guitar, making music videos, singing, and dancing. And let's not forget our little parkour expert. He loved time spent with friends listening to music, playing board games, cards, karaoke, casino trips, or having a good dinner out. Wilf spent most of his working days at Pritchard Engineering making many friends with co-workers and clients. The greatest thrill of his career was being a big part of the restoration of the Golden Boy (which was proudly discussed by his grandson Destyn during Grade One show and tell). The family would like to thank the staff on GH3 Ward at the Heath Sciences Centre for their kind and heartfelt care. Special hugs to Marcy, Verna, Adam, Dr. Yip, and Dr. McKay. Donations to CancerCare Manitoba would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Memorial services will be held at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.

My condolences to Brenda and her family. I worked with Wilf for many years and I will miss him. I will also miss the many evenings Sandi and I spent playing skip-bo and 99 with Brenda and Wilf. - Posted by: Randy Funk (Friend) on: Jan 13, 2016

Brenda, Aunt Janis, and all the family... so sorry to hear of Wilf's passing. I remember sharing many a humour at Aunt Janis's Christmas Eve family gatherings. I know Uncle Bob will be happy to see Wilf, but it's too soon and too young, as was Uncle Bob. Our condolences and prayers are with you and the family at this time. I hope your fond memories will bring you comfort during this time... Blessings, Al and Thea Haut Ostermann. - Posted by: Thea & Al Ostermann (Extended "Family") on: Jan 09, 2016
