WALTER WASIUTA It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and good friend, Walter Wasiuta. Peacefully, with family by his side, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, Walter passed away after a short fight with pneumonia at the Vista Park Lodge Personal Care Home at the age of 91 years. Walter will be missed by his family; son David and wife Patricia of Sylvan Lake, AB, son Thomas and wife Anna of Salmon Arm, BC and son Ken and wife Laurie of Winnipeg, along with grandsons, Branden and his wife Sheena Wasiuta and Mark Wasiuta of Yellowknife, NWT and, Nick and his wife Jessica Wasiuta and granddaughter Sara Wasiuta of Winnipeg and extended family and friends. A prayer service for Walter will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg. A Celebration of Life ceremony, along with interment will occur in the spring of 2016, when all family members are able to be present and a more detailed obituary will follow. We wish to thank all of the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their care and compassion for Walter in his time of need and making the residence his home for the past two years.
