CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL THIESSEN
Born: Dec 22, 1983
Date of Passing: Jan 08, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTOPHER MICHAEL THIESSEN December 22, 1983 - January 8, 2016 Ride in Peace' With immense sadness we share that Chris, our son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend, ended his life on January 8, 2016. He was recently predeceased by his dad, Ari, a loss that he struggled to come to terms with. Chris will be lovingly remembered by his mom, Elfriede, siblings Monika and Michael (Thys) and Angela and Christoph (Guertler), his two nieces Lillian and Miriam, and his pup Bandit. His memory will also live on in countless friends and relatives. He was born a fearless, thrill-seeking risk taker, with a love of all things fast and loud. Growing up he was always active, be it soccer, hockey, skateboarding or snowboarding. He was his father's son, and they shared a love of cars, trucks and spending many hours together in the shop. As much as possible, Chris spent his time on two wheels, or better yet one. He had a passion for building and racing bikes of all kinds. Chris was definitely one of a kind. He had some rough edges, but underneath all those tattoos was a heart of gold. His friends meant the world to him. They were always together and always there for each other. His laughter, singing and crazy ways will be sorely missed. A celebration of Chris' life will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay Street with viewing prior to the service. There will be a short service followed by a come-and-go, open mic' style reception. In lieu of flowers, donations in honour of Chris can be made to a charity of your choice. One Life, One Wheel'

Dein Andreas. - Posted by: Andreas Thissen (GroßCousin...) on: Sep 16, 2016

Very saddened to hear and read about Chris' passing. Had the pleasure of working with him at two different companies and always found him easy going, helpful and pleasant to get along with. My condolences to the family and sorry for their loss. RIP Chris! - Posted by: Ms. Gerrie Penteliuk ((former Co-Worker)) on: Jan 15, 2016

At the shop, at the races, at socials and events, Chris was a staple and the life of the party. We will miss him coming by for lunch. We will miss seeing him out at the track, and on the dance floor. We had many great rides, good times and chats. We hope Chris’ family can find some peace in the difficult days ahead knowing that he was loved by so many. We are thinking of you.
