HEIDI MAYER It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Heidi Mayer on January 13, 2016. Heidi was loving, hard-working, empathetic and highly engaged. With all of those beautiful traits, it is no wonder Heidi's special gift was in the many relationships she built throughout her life. Visits with Heidi were always peppered with delightful one-liners, delivered with impeccable timing and occasionally edged with sarcasm, at the expense of her delighted guests. Heidi was a bright spark, whose memorable, twinkly eyes framed a candid wit; she rolled them often in as she poked fun within her exchanges. Heidi was predeceased by her dear father, Hugo, and a year ago, by her soulmate and big sister Ellen, to whom she was absolutely devoted her entire life. She will be so sadly missed by her mother Ida, who spent her entire life nurturing and caring for her beautiful daughters. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins in Canada and Europe and her circle of caregivers, who gave her such tender care. The family is so very grateful for everyone who helped throughout the journey. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
