DOBRODIYKA OLHA PAWLYSHYN Peacefully on February 10, 2016, at Holy Family Nursing Home, our beloved mother and grandmother Dobrodiyka Olha fell asleep in the Lord. Born in Peremyshl, Ukraine on March 17, 1923, she immigrated to Manitoba, where her family farmed; instilling in her values of faith, hard work, and a lifelong love of gardening. She was called "Baba" by her grandchildren, as well as many others, and cherished for her hugs and kisses. She was a kind and gentle soul, always willing to lend a hand. She spent years assisting our father with everything that goes with the title of "Dobrodiyka". She will be missed by the members of St. Ivan Suchavsky, especially the Perogy Club, where she spent many hours mixing fillings, or preparing the dough. She was predeceased by husband Protopresbyter Michael, son Alexander, parents Ivan and Ksenia Tychonky, brother Nestor, and sister Alexandra Gross. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ihor (Marianne), Julie (Gary) Kowalchuk, and Nick (Yolanda), sister Orysia Mooy and nephew John, her seven grandchildren, and her church family. Prayers will be officiated by Fr. Henry Lakusta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16 and Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ivan Suchavsky Cathedral at 939 Main St. Vichnaya Pam'yat! Memory Eternal!
