Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH FRIESEN Elizabeth Friesen passed away on February 9, 2016 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Katharina Friesen, her brother Peter, sister and brother-in-law Katherine and Ed Dalke, brothers-in-law John Krueger and Ben Reimer. She is remembered by her sisters Agatha Krueger, Margaret Reimer, Mary(Bernie) Thiessen, and Agnes (Harry) Olfert; and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was born at home on the farm near Arnaud, Manitoba. While this was her home community she attended and became a member of the St. Elizabeth Lichtenauer Mennonite Church and later transferred to the Springfield Heights Mennonite Church in Winnipeg. Her teaching profession took her to various small country schools, to Steinbach and Fort Garry. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay with interment at the St. Elizabeth Lichtenauer Cemetery following the service. Viewing will take place one hour before the service at the church.
