GLEN HERMAN DESJARLAIS
Date of Passing: Feb 18, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLEN HERMAN DESJARLAIS It is with profound sadness that we, Arlene and Ryan announce Glen's sudden passing on February 18, 2016. Glen was a loving husband, father and mentor, brother, uncle and friend, he left this world a better place. Glen was predeceased by his parents Jules and Geraldine and brother Marvin. Glen's memory and spirit will be forever cherished by Arlene and Ryan, and will especially be missed by his brother Jules; nephew Jared; niece Tara; in-laws, Maurice and Dorothy, Tina and Darren; siblings, Edgar, Richard (Linda), Joelene (Dennis), Giselle (Marcel) and his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Glen or Chewy as he was also known was a mentor to many, he gave all of himself to everyone and he always spoke with such pride of his coaching time with the Central Braves and more recently his time spent on the sidelines cheering and beaming with pride as we watched our boy Ryan's games and practices with the North Winnipeg Nomads. Glen could always be found walking up and down the sidelines cheering the team on not only with his large cheers but his ever present cow bell. Glen made many friends during his lifetime with his larger than life humble personality. He will be missed by his childhood best friend Robert Lee whom Glen always talked about and shared the stories of their many adventures. Jeff Houle who always came to see Glen during his many in hospital "vacations" over the last few years. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital Renal Clinic, we would especially like to acknowledge doctors, Sean Armstrong, Claudio Rigatto, Sara Dunsmore and Paul Komenda and nurses, Elaine, Verna, Nicky, Wendy and Garry and the entire team of renal nurses. We have always said without all of you Glen would not have come as far as he did and for that we will forever be grateful. In lieu of flowers or in memorial of Glen, we would ask that donations be made to the Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation for the research that advances care for patients with kidney disease c/o 2300 McPhillips Street, Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

I often think of the times when mom would pack you a lunch every morning for you to take to the park and hang out with the park man and help him put out the sprinklers and clean out the pool. You would be gone all day and come home just in time for supper. Your loving sister Joelene. Forever loved and in my heart. - Posted by: Joelene Desjarlais Didora (sister) on: Feb 22, 2016
