Condolences & Memories (13 entries)

  • When I went to sunrise sunset daycare I was being severely bullied and April helped me. She and I always sang together and she helped me with my song writing/stage fright when auditioning for the school musicals. April made me want to volunteer there and go to school to become a daycare worker. I found out in 2019 she has passed a couple of years before and my heart broke. I’m so sorry to the family. - Posted by: Kelsey devine (Goer / volunteer and sunrise sunset daycare ) on: Nov 19, 2021

  • Early on in her life, she exemplified the peaceful, Christian life that we all aspire to. I did not know her after her marriage to Trevor. I did grow up with the man and know him to be nothing less than a gentleman. From my memory of her she will be a great loss - Posted by: Leon (An early friend) on: Oct 03, 2021

  • We are deeply saddened and shocked to hear of April's passing. She was an amazing person to say the least and always saw the good in others. She looked after our son at daycare and always made him feel loved. We are so sorry for your great loss. Please know that April was admired and respected by the Alto family. - Posted by: Sam and Sandy Alto (Friends) on: May 08, 2016

  • April was a pleasure to work with. She was always cheerful, smiling, friendly and kind - a person that you would try to sit next to or work near because that's where the fun and laughter was happening. She was liked by all and made friends with everyone. The news of her passing was a great shock and I send my condolences to her family. The world will be a sadder and darker place without her. Go with God, April. Pat Woroby - Sunset Thermographers - Posted by: Pat Woroby () on: Feb 29, 2016

  • April was very instrumental in my walk with God. She and other sisters (Erica and Ros) studied the Bible with me diligently and truly showed what it is to follow Jesus Christ. April, I will always remember you and I thank you for being such a great friend and sister-in-Christ. Until we see each other again...Love, Luisa - Posted by: Luisa Lontajo (Sister-in-Christ) on: Feb 26, 2016

  • I have such fond memmories of April while making my daily pickups at Sunset Themographers for my courier company. Her happy attitude along with her most cheerful smile always made my day end with a grin. Though its been long gone those days of seeing April every day at her work station I can still remmember her laugh as we talked and joked about everyday stuff during our brief daily meeting. To hear of her passing was truely sad and I think that its so true of the song "Only the good die Young" My thoughts of your will be forever remembered and never forgotten. God Bless you April and yes darling I can wait one more minute for you to finish that last order...... - Posted by: Kevin McArthur (Acquaintance through work.) on: Feb 26, 2016

I worked with her at Sunrise Sunset Childcare and it was always a joy wiring with her. I go to Church with April and Trevor and they have helped me through some tough times. I know you are with God now and that makes me happy, but I will miss your smile and the chats we use to have. Thank-you for being my friend! - Posted by: Harvey Duncan (Friend) on: Feb 25, 2016

  • I met April at Sherwood Park Church of God around 1987. She was 14, I was 20. She became like a little sister, and best friend over the years. We laughed, cried and had many special times together. Over the years, life happened and we didn't see each other as much. I moved away as well. The distance didn't seem to matter. We seemed to know when we needed each other. She was a kind, loving person who always put others first. I will miss her laugh, and beautiful smile. Love you always my friend, till we meet again.
