MARIANNA PATRICIA BRAUN (MULDER) March 17, 1928 - February 23, 2016 Peacefully on February 23, 2016 Pat passed away at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre at the age of 87. Pat will be missed by her daughter Linda Tuminski (Garry), grandchildren Trevor Tuminski (Zinka), and Tricia Kinaschuk (Orest), great-grandson Steven Jay, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Pat was predeceased by parents Sim and Dene Mulder, daughter Janice Dene, her husband George, brother Gerald, and nephew Brent. Pat lived in Winnipeg all her life and married George in September 1949. They were happily married for 48 years. She volunteered for different organizations over the years and knitted or crocheted mitts, scarves, and toques for the children at Osborne House and inner city schools. For many years Pat bowled with a ladies' league at Polo Park and a mixed league at Dakota Lanes for Gardener Sales in St. Vital. Mom and Dad's favourite place was Betula Lake where they spent their summers. They both volunteered for the Betula Lake Association from 1981 to 1992 which they loved to do. Mom also wrote the Betula Lake news for the Whiteshell Echo Newspaper. Pat's lifeline was her telephone and she certainly burned up the lines talking to many friends and family. A celebration of Pat's life will be held on Saturday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service located at 2146 Main Street. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Misericordia Interim Care Hospital and Kildonan Personal Care Centre staff for their compassion and kindness during Pat's stay. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
