ANNA MAY BOUX It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna May Boux (nee Anna May Ancion) with her family by her side, on February 28, 2016 at the age of 93 at Concordia Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: John (Jan), Robert, Paul (Jenny), James (Michele), Brian (Carmen) and Joanie (Doug); grandchildren: Andrea (Tyler), Christopher, Gina (Cole), Tiffany (Darren), Melanie, Eric, Renee (Greg), Jasmine and great-grandchildren Tyden and Guillianna and her sister Marie and nieces Cherryl (Helmut), Jocelyne, Arlene (Arthur). Anna May was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and grew up in nearby Bow Island. She married John Boux in 1950. The Boux and Ancion families were good friends, knowing each other from their home country of Belgium. After John's early death in 1965, Anna bravely carried the burden of raising six children on her own. She was always there for her family with love, generosity and a no-nonsense humour. She was well known for warmly welcoming her children's friends who gathered at "514". The service is at Green Acres Funeral Home Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. She will be interred on site and a reception will follow. We would like to thank the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their loving care. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom was always so kind to me, your home a welcome (lunch) break from school, a place to play and plan our wonderful adventures. She made so little demand on us despite a full work load. How did she ever manage? hugs to all and my love, Joie and family (Scott, Aimee, Evan and Ella) - Posted by: Joie Zeglinski (Friend) on: Mar 05, 2016
