Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOPHIE KONEFALL (LUDWICK / nee PRONISHEN) August 10, 1915 - March 6, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, Sophie Konefall, on Sunday, March 6 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. She is survived by her son Robert Ludwick (Elizabeth Delgatty), her grandchildren Matthew Ludwick, Mark Ludwick (Ashley Fenske), April Ludwick, Andrea Mantler, Tony Mantler, the lights of her life, great-granddaughters Sophie and Aster Ludwick, and sister Anne Grabowsky. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Marie, and her beloved Stan. She was born and raised in Narol, MB, where she attended Donald School. She started her first job at age 13 and continued working until she retired at age 70. Her family considered her to be the world's best cook as she provided for them from her kitchen until age 99. She moved into Misericordia Interim Care Home in April 2015 and then to Middlechurch Home in September 2015 where she delighted in sunning herself in their beautiful courtyard gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff at these homes for the wonderful care and love shown to Sophie in her last year. Cremation has taken place and a "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Sophie may be made to the Middlechurch Courtyard fund or a charity of your choice.

She was the highlight of my downtown trips to Eatons loacation of Laura Secord. It was a privilege to attend and speak to Sophie at her 100th birthday party last year and she was as sharp as the first time I met her some 40+ years ago. Sophie always had a smile and kind words and she will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Wilson Anderson () on: Mar 12, 2016

As neighbors, we remember Sophie to always have a smile. We got to know her better at her milestone birthdays 90, 95 and best of all her 100th! She radiated happiness and contentment which I'm sure came from having her beautiful family around her. She was a genuine lady. We will miss her. - Posted by: Lloyd and Sophie Roberts (Neighbors and Friends) on: Mar 12, 2016
