WALTER DYCK Peacefully, with his wife, Lydia and family at his bedside, on March 10, 2016 Walter Dyck, aged 85 years of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away. Special thanks to the nurses who cared for Dad each day from the Assisted Peritoneal Dialysis Program, particularly Jackie and Michele, as well the Physicians and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital Renal Program, Drs. Komenda, Rigatto, Tangri and Dunsmore and special mention to PD nurse Elaine. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee.

Walter is survived by Lydia, his wife of 62 years; his seven children, Ruth (Rick), Betty (George), Elsie (Stan), Linda (Lyle), Evelyn (Joe), John (Leacia), and Rosalie (Dave); 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. His calm and reassuring presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing he is with his Lord and Saviour. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Portage Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church. Funeral arrangements by Friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MCC.
