MARY DOERKSEN 1919 - 2016 Peacefully, with family at her side, Mary (Martens) Doerksen left us for her eternal Home on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, and one stillborn son, Levi. She is lovingly remembered by her children and their families: Donald and Esther Doerksen, Jerilyn and Ryan (Noah, Raechel, Sarah and Jessie) Koslowsky, Gaylene Magian, Renae and Allen (Tyra, Chloe and Kayden) Sterk; Wanda and John Wiebe, Jen and Keith (Lucas) Penner, Carrie Wiebe, Joel and Candace (Ellamae) Wiebe; Hilde and Dick Friesen, Jonathan and Jinny (Isla) Friesen, Cherie and Avi (Caleb and Evan) Dhillon, Krissy and Chad (Ethan and Maddie) Black; Sharon Doerksen and Levitt Muirhead. She is also survived by one sister, one brother and two sisters-in-law. The viewing will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy. 52 West, Steinbach, MB, with a devotional at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grunthal Bergthaler Church, 101 Southwood Street, Grunthal. Interment to follow at the Grunthal Cemetery. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want... I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." My heartfelt condolences to Mary's children and all her family members as they mourn her passing. This world was a better place for the caring love and kindnesses given through Mary's life. In the mid 1940's Mary Martens lived with the Gair family and we dearly loved her and then she met her beloved Frank.
