JOAN SALLY DOREEN LAING It is with sadness that the family of Joan Laing (nee Thompson) announces her passing on March 9, 2016, at the Carman Memorial Hospital, at the age of 80. She will be greatly missed by her children, Lloyd (Evelyn), Les, Dan (Karen), Shirl (Doug); her grandchildren, Chad (Denise), Kurt (Samal), Chris (Courtney), Evan, Deanna (Jordan) and Brett (Sarah); her great-grandchildren, Scott, Cailyn, Landon, Ethan, Ainsley, Marek, Bryce, Rowen, Ayden, Easton; and special nephew Alvin Thompson. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Don (Gale), Ray (Ann), Ed (Elaine), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George, grandson Mark, parents Roy and Ester, sister Marie, brothers Emil and Ingvald and their spouses. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews United Church, Elm Creek, Manitoba on March 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Elm Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's United Church, Elm Creek, or a charity of one's choice. Online condolences at www.friendsfs.ca
