  • I was sadden to hear of Chris passing. We lived on Fife St. for years and she was always with her children, going for a walk or up to the Mall. We fell out of touch as I moved but during a few years back we saw each other at the Mall again, we exchanged emails and again started talking .Chris was a kind hearted person and I gave her a nick name of TREE as she was so tall to me. We always laughed about that,I will miss her and she will always be in my heart as she was a true friend.May you rest in peace my friend, and I know you are watching over all your loved ones.God bless and my condolences to her family. - Posted by: Patti Jones (Friend) on: Apr 02, 2016

  • With great sadness I read today of Chris' passing. I met Chris at st. Aiden's (young people's) Friday night dance club. She was my very first girlfriend and we were a couple for 3 years from age 14 - 17. I believe I did not have more fun in any other three years of my life. Her sense of humour and incredibly infectious laugh still ring in my mind even today. We broke up when Chris met Wayne and became interested in this mature man instead of a silly teenager. It was a sad day for me but such is life. Many many years later I was in Winnipeg and called on Chris. As the Paul Simon song goes "then we talked about some old times and drank ourselves some beers ..Still crazy after all these years" . I found her to be still very loving especially to her son Ryan who was incredibly polite and kind. She talked about her family with such pride and love and if I remember anything about that day it was how happy she seemed despite her difficult life. No doubt she is in heaven and a more deserving person I do not know. I will always cherish those young teenage years Long live her memory in mine and everyone else's who knew her.
