Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNETTE ELLIS It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend on Wednesday, March 17, 2016 at the age of 87. Jeannette was predeceased by her husband Glenn and daughter Maureen. Jeannette was born on August 29, 1928 in St. Boniface and lived in St. Boniface for the majority of her life with a short period of time in the Peace River area. She attended Marion school and St. Joseph's Academy, married Glenn in 1951 and together they lovingly raised four children. Many summers were spent at the Big Whiteshell Lake and later in retirement traveling with Glenn, Leo and Arla on their motorcycles and 5th wheel trailers from Arizona to Alaska and coast to coast. Jeannette loved reading, gardening and going for walks. Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Bruce (Dayle), Todd (Shelly); daughter Donna; grandchildren, Paige (Brian), Steven, Amber, Dayna, Hannah and great-grandson Drake. She also leaves to mourn brother Leo, sister Noella (Gordon), nieces and nephews. Jeannette was a kind-hearted person who loved to laugh and make others laugh. New friends at Villa Aulneau enjoyed her smiling face when they were together. She was a soft-spoken loving gentle soul who was always there for her family. Jeannette was active in her church and a member of the Catholic Womens' League for many years. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the wonderful staff at Villa Aulneau where she lived the last few years. A celebration of Jeannette's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Green Acres Funeral Home & Cemetery, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

Donna, Bruce & Todd my deepest condolences on the passing of your dear sweet Mother! I have known Jeannette and Glenn since I was a teenage hanging out with Maureen. My memories of Jeannette are of a person that was always warm, loving and kind-hearted with a permanent smile on her face. She always made me feel welcomed and part of her family. If only the world were filled with more people like her! I had a good cry when I heard of the news. While I can’t attend the funeral, know that you will be in my thoughts.
