  • Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was always the one who gave excellent advise to all those he worked with. He was a very knowledgeable and kind person, and will be truly missed. RIP. - Posted by: Harry Hamilton (Friend) on: Mar 25, 2016

  • We are very saddened by news of Bill’s passing. Bill’s most valuable talents were as husband, father and friend. I was fortunate to be his co-worker in Kingston and buddy in Germany. Many early Sunday mornings were spent Volksmarching with Bill. We shared an awesome bicycle trip to Holland, with Bill secretly arranging the now famous Hieneken brewery tour. I was a passenger when Bill received the only speeding ticket I’ve ever heard of on the Autobahn. We were treated as family by the Rudys, welcomed into their home and fortunate watch Jason, Dana and Tara grow to and benefit from their Bill and Brenda’s positive influence. There were road trips, like Rotenburg and wine tasting that might have lasted longer than expected. We still tell stores of Shannon sleeping in a closet in their house in the middle of a game of hide and seek, of Mary trying to drive Bill’s standard Beetle home after an evening out, and Bill trying to fix a flat tire for Mary when I was in Canada. With a wrong sized tire and half a jack. And lots and lots of curling. There are so many memories, but great memories of our time with the Rudys. Our hearts are broken and we want to offer our prayers to Brenda, the kids and family. VVV - Posted by: Lorne and Mary Boulter (friends) on: Mar 25, 2016

  • It is with great sorrow that I heard of Bill`s passing. He was a true gentleman who gave of himself to our community. He gave many hours of his time in 2011, filling sand bags and helping in any other way he could in our community`s fight against the flood. My sincere condolences to Brenda and family and to all touched by Bill. RIP my friend. - Posted by: Norbert Langelier (Friend) on: Mar 24, 2016

  • So good to hear he had no regrets. I didn't know him well, due to the distance between us. The times we did meet, he was in good humor and nice to be around. RIP Bill. - Posted by: Linda Newhouse (Cousin) on: Mar 23, 2016

  • Our dearest sympathies Brenda, to you and your family. Your paths and ours have often crossed over the years. From the first time we met in Germany, to Saskatchewan, to Manitoba. Bill was always fair, honest, hard working and highly dependable. We will miss him but we are grateful we were lucky enough to have known you both. • Brenda and family I am so saddened to hear of Bill's passing. You must all be so devastated. Bill was part of our gang at the Eatonia High School and we had a blast. Bill's mom lived beside my mom at Cochrane Place in Eatonia so I was able to catch up on Bill and the Family through her. That was awhile ago. I only knew Bill for a few short years but during that time we were all close and that was an important time in our lives that we will never forget. When I head back to see our friends in Eatonia, we always talk about those days. Your Bill was a great guy. My thoughts are with you and the family. God Bless !! I live in Edmonton and have for many years. - Posted by: Terrie (Krentz) Wispinski (High School Friend from Eatonia) on: Mar 22, 2016
