SHIRLEY HELENE SHASKI April 7, 1944 - March 23, 2016 Very peacefully in the early afternoon of March 23, 2016, with her daughter by her side, Shirley embarked upon her last big adventure. We know she will be met by a jubilant welcoming committee including, her son Allan Malazdrewich, grandson Jordan Malazdrewich, brother Joseph Shaski, sister-in-law Nadia Shaski, sister Bernadette Szajewski, parents Charles and Victoria Szajewski, in-laws Mark and Elsie Malazdrewich, and so many others who love and adore her. Left behind to live their best lives possible in Shirley's absence are her daughter, Laura (Ken) Allard; grandchildren Anthony, Aryana, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Brady Malazdrewich, Lisa (Sheldon) Wall, Stacie and Jonathan (Jena) Allard as well as great-grandchildren Riley and Azaela, many nieces, nephews and friends loved with a ferocity only Shirley could muster. An afternoon celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Shirley's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

  • I met Shirley for the first time in 1991 at Carol’s home. The team of beginning experience were gathered together at her place around Christmas for broken marriages. She always had a warm comment to uplift you. She was a compassionate and thoughtful person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. You will be missed by many friends.
