  • A very special woman to the GAAC, Christena Driscoll has passed. Christena was dedicated to the GAAC for 20 years and has been an honorary member since 2010 when she resigned from the board. As time passed, she feared that without enough "young blood" on the board, the GAAC would have no choice but to close its doors. She was determined that was NOT going to happen. She succeeded in finding a new group of board members to take her place and was extremely proud of their achievements. Without her relentless determination, passion and love for the centre, it would not be open and thriving like it is today. She continued to show her support to the centre in any way she could whether it was buying a jacket, having a vendor table at our annual Mall in the Hall Craft Sale or just calling to check in. Christena always did her part and more to contribute to her community and the people in it. People like her make the world a better place to live in. She will be sadly missed by many. - Posted by: Lana knor (Friend ) on: Mar 28, 2016
