VIRGINIA ROSE MARIASH March 4, 1938 March 22, 2016 After a courageous battle with cancer, Virginia passed away at Riverview, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 with family by her side. She is survived by her children David (Sharlynne), Ron (Arlene), Karen Klos (Randy), Susan Clarke (Lance) and their families; her husband Harry Thiessen; stepchildren, Rick (Dolores), Kathy Denny (Bruce), David (Rose), Donna Boiteau, Darren (Carla) and their families; siblings and in-laws. She was predeceased by her first husband Bernard (1998); daughter Patricia (2014) and her parents. Virginia was born in Ladywood. She married Bernard in 1958 and was a farm wife and stay at home mom. They moved to Winnipeg in 1998, a few months prior to his passing. She went to work full time in 1991 and retired in 2009. Virginia was an energetic lady who loved life and keeping busy. She was always baking and making perogies for family, friends and her co-workers. Virginia enjoyed golfing with the Iron Maidens Ladies Golf League and annual Still Cove Tournament and made many friends. Later in life she met and married Harry who cherished her. She loved the time they spent at the cabin working and gardening. Virginia was a nurturer and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She holds a very special place in the hearts of her family and extended family. Special thanks to the staff at Riverview Heath Centre and CancerCare Manitoba for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or St. Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church, Box 172, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday March 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.   • Sorry to hear of your loss. I still remember the days of all the weddings when I was just a girl, at Ladywood and St. Mary's Hall, and of course the Golembioski family was so much a part of those days. My Mom, Eleanor Okrainec, had a special place in her heart for Aunt Caroline, Virginia, Sylvia, Wilfred and Larry. Virginia has such a kind face and always smiling.
