Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTINA BRAUN It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Tina Braun. With her family by her side in Concordia Hospital, she entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus, on Friday, March 25, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, and one granddaughter. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Ferdinand, daughters Cheryl, Valerie and Angela and their families, as well as extended family. Tina was born on May 29, 1946 in Paraguay and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She met the love of her life in 1964, and married him on August 6, 1966. They were blessed with three beautiful daughters who were her pride and joy. Creating a loving home was her top priority, and she thoroughly enjoyed making summer camping trips with her family both fun and special. In later years she took great delight in watching her grandchildren grow. Tina loved to serve others and found many opportunities to do so. She was active in several areas of church work and found time to volunteer at Westgate Mennonite Collegiate and Concordia Hospital. In retirement years, warm vacations in winter became very special to her. Tina struggled with chronic pain in the last 12 years as diabetes and MS took their toll, and she had been confined to a wheelchair since December 2011. Her last years were spent at Bethania Personal Care Home, and her family would like to thank the staff there as well as various medical staff for the care they provided. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay Street, Winnipeg with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Collegiate Institute, Box 250, Gretna, Manitoba, R0G 0V0. Friends Funeral Service, 204-339-5555

I recall our surprise when we were in Dominican Republic to see you and Tina having breakfast there. We had some wonderful time visiting over meals while there. We know you must and will miss the many travels south to warmer climates you so much enjoyed for many years. Looking back you will not regret all the wonderful times together God granted you. May the God of all comfort be with you at this time and the days and years ahead. Our prayers are with you and your family as you grieve the loss of Tina. - Posted by: Ed & Kathie Kroeker (Friends of the family ) on: Mar 30, 2016
