DWIGHT WEISE March 14, 1962 - March 28, 2016 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dwight, at the age of 54, after a short, yet courageous battle with cancer. Dwight will be missed and remembered by his daughter Kaila (Kelly), brother Miles (Barb), nieces and nephews Nadine, Kenneth, Adam (Stephanie), Derrick (Mackenzie) and Dale (Lauren), girlfriend Brenda, dear friends Ernie and Ward, as well as other numerous family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Archie and Pat Weise, his sister Cheryl and her husband Kenny Birston, and his sister Rhonda Barstad. Dwight was always the life of the party, you could always count on him for a good story - many of which happened on the road while he was driving long haul. While being a transport driver, he got to see places and things he had previously only dreamed of. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. But for every end, no matter how tragic, there will be a new beginning. This is not goodbye, for you will be forever with us in our hearts and minds. We are thankful to everyone who gave us so much help and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare or a charity of your choice. A memorial service in honour of Dwight will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Highway, Winnipeg.

Wow....Where do I start? if you've ever saw the movie "Stand By Me", that was Dwight, Johnny (left way too early), and I. Walking down the tracks to downtown and just being kids. I will not elaborate too much more on the stories but Dwight was the leader and as I can see from the memories, has touched all he has known. One thing that I will always remember was his favorite song...AC/DC TNT...Which he always said "fight" "Dwight" "fight" I will miss you and always remember our younger years. - Posted by: Rick Delorme (Freind) on: Jun 23, 2016

No matter how many days, weeks, months, years go by, I will be missing you. You gave me the courgous, I never that I would find, you gave me hope, when I thought all hope was gone. You were a warrior, that's for sure and you defeated every battle that came your way, until now. I remember when you found out you were diagnoised with cancer and you told me "we have a battle to fight, baby" Even through you didn't get the results you wanted,I still think you won this battle. To me you were always the winner. You have touched a lot of peoples hearts, you have inspired people to follow there dreams, you showed people how to have fun. And I am honored to be your daughter, I'm honored to have the same last name, honored to have your eyes, honored to have your personality and most of all I am HONORED to be your daughter. No matter what life will throw at me, I will take a minute and say "what would my dad do" With you being a transport driver, I always knew you were coming home. The hardest part now that you gone, is knowing that your not coming back from a trip. No matter what you will always be a part of me, and when you died, a little piece of me died with you. Love you dad, forever and always. - Posted by: Kaila Weise (Daughter ) on: Mar 30, 2016
