ANNE MRYGLOD
Born: May 10, 1914
Date of Passing: Mar 26, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE MRYGLOD (nee PIDHAYECKI) With great sadness the family announces the passing of my Mother, Anne Mryglod, at the age of 101 on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Luther Home. Mom was born in Rembrandt, MB. on May 10, 1914 to Martha and Matthew Pidhayecki. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, Dmytro, William (Bill), Nick; and her sisters, Tekla, Justyna (Josie), Nellie and Mary. Anne is survived by her daughter Dolores (Campbell); her sister Polly (Ruskin); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Due to Anne's mother passing away at an early age, she had to quit school to stay home and help take care of her siblings. Eventually she moved to Winnipeg where she began her working career as a waitress in a restaurant in Point Douglas and later worked for a cleaning service. After that, she began working for Winnipeg Photo and remained there for approximately 25 years until retirement. Anne was a very caring person. She cared about everyone else before herself and was always concerned about her family. Family was number one. She was also a fantastic cook. She made the best cabbage rolls in the world. Anything she made was fantastic. She worked hard all her life. Some of her favourite pastimes were playing cards, watching wrestling, going to the casino and earlier on in her life had travelled to Las Vegas. The family would like to thank everyone at Luther Home for the special care they gave Anne. My Mother would always tell me how well the staff treated her. The staff became very special to my Mother and me. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery on North Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Dolores, we remember your mother well. She was a delightful lady who showed very much how much she cared for her family. We also remember her wonderful cooking, in particular her chicken with whipping cream dish and pyrizhky. Sorry that she is gone but know she is a better place and no doubt showing them how to cook in heaven. - Posted by: Vivian & Elton Nikkel () on: Mar 31, 2016
