STEFAN GERALD BJARNASON Peacefully, on March 25, 2016, Stefan Gerald Bjarnason passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Gerald was predeceased by his wife Nancy Edith Bjarnason on December, 7, 2011. He found love again with Linda Jeffery, who was his greatest support throughout his battle with cancer. He also leaves to mourn four children, Derek, Todd (Tonia), Nikki (Ben) and Craig (Melanie); grandchildren, Olivia, Elliot, Abigail, Kristen, Zena and Nolan, Linda's family and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Gerald was born on December 4, 1944 in Riverton, Manitoba and spent most of his childhood in Balmertown, Ontario. His interest in the outdoors and all things mechanical came early, growing up in a small northern community. Some of his hobbies such as fishing, boating and tinkering with cars carried with him his whole life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. in Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place, and a private burial will follow at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Concordia Hospital for their gracious and compassionate care.
