Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD PUHACH June 22, 1947 April 7, 2016 After a year of struggling with dementia, Don passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016, and is finally at peace. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Lee; son Chris (Carolynn) Puhach; daughter Charmaine (Shawn) Mackid; grandchildren, Ashley and Joshua Puhach. Also mourning his loss are his father Emil Puhach; sisters, Sherry Orcutt, Debbie Stovin and their families. Don grew up in West Kildonan, and after graduation he was employed at the University of Manitoba, until his early retirement in 2004. Don's passions were his property (planting and replanting trees), golfing (2 hole-in-ones!) and fishing (Big Ugly Catfish!). The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Selkirk Mental Hospital, Area 6, for their care and compassion in making Don's time in Selkirk comfortable and dignified. As per Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was my supervisor at the university. I shall always remember Don as one of the kindest men I have been fortunate to know and I always have a great respect for him. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
