JOHN (JACK) F. SINNOTT September 12, 1922 April 12, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jack Sinnott, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 93. Jack is survived by his two sons, Clark (Carole) and Craig (Darlene), (Edmonton); two granddaughters, Kerry Babiuk (Brian) and Lisa (Craig) Rowbotham and three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Matthew and Naomi. He is also survived by his brother, Ted (Regina) and his sister, Stacia Roche (John), (California) as well as sister-in-law, Krys (California) and many nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Jean (2005) and four brothers and one sister. Jack was a gentleman. He was strong, quiet and patient. He was a man of faith who loved his family, parish and Country. Dad was a Second World War veteran and served in England, France, Holland and Germany. Upon returning to civilian life, Jack resumed his occupation as a photoengraver/lithographer. Jack and Jean were married in St. Alphonsus Church in 1948. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus East Kildonan Council #4107 and a member of Prince Edward Legion #81. The family would like to thank Karen Murphy and all the staff of Tower 6 at Deer Lodge Centre for all the great care, respect and compassion shown to Dad during his short stay there. We would also like to thank Fr. Gerry Ward for his visits and anointing Dad on the Saturday before he died. We love you G.G. and will miss you dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe Avenue on Wednesday, April 20, at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Janusz Maron presiding and a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's name may be made to Deer Lodge Centre Foundation, St. Alphonsus Parish, or the War Amps. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Jack and Jean Sinnott were my god parents. Jack told me that he said a prayer for all of his god-children every night (I think there were 6). His thoughtful consideration and prayer were true gifts. Louise (Hoban/Sinnott/Finlan) Buelow-Smith - Posted by: Louise Buelow-Smith (God-daughter) on: Apr 22, 2016
