He served with PPCLI during the Second World War as a Corporal in Canada, Britain, Central Mediterranean and North West Europe. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, Italy and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and War Medal, 1939-1945. William was a kind and generous man. He cared for the welfare of others and generously shared what he had. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Interment at Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
