  • Walter was a great individual. Always one to have a light hearted joke or story. He was a valued member of the photographic community and took many photos of sports events that I can attest to, as I have some of my boxing career. My wife , Mary and I extend our condolences to the family. - Posted by: wayne caplette (friend and brother firefighter) on: Apr 18, 2016

  • Walter and my dad Ernie were friends from grade school, hence Walter has been part of my life since birth. He was my God Father. Walter loved the brotherhood of the firefighters, but after hours portraiture photography was his passion. If it wasn't for him, my baby albums would be reduced to a sliver. Always documenting the moment, even if you did not feel up to " striking a pose", Walter was there, camera in hand. Regardless if it was film or digital, the prints arrived in record time. Walter, thank you for being part of my life, your memory will live on in all those wonderful moments you captured on film. - Posted by: Nancy Krywonis MD (God Daughter) on: Apr 17, 2016

  • Dear June, we were sorry to learn about the recent passing of Walter. It was a very difficult message to have to relay to our dad, Russ, as it is known that Walter and dad were absolute lifelong best friends! Walter proved his loyalty of friendship as he NEVER gave up on visiting dad even after his massive stroke in 2014. Walter's visits to dad remained faithful and always keeping dad updated on wrestling and boxing as well as reminiscing about the "good old days and real fights"!! Walter last visited dad about 2 weeks ago bringing him borscht. I recall cursing that on this visit Walter had backed into my car as he hurried in for his visit with dad. Now I can say I am honestly grateful for the "bump" Walter left me along with his dedication to our family!! Walter also took time to visit our mom Stephie in her difficult state and we are grateful for this. Leo and I have many fond memories of our years growing up with Wecha Walter in our lives! Walter's devoted friendship to Russ and our family will NEVER be forgotten as this truly is what friendship is about, being there in the good, the bad and the difficult times and this is where Walter was!! Thank you Walter for the memories to the LUCH family, Natalie Dennis Roman Matthew Kayla Chandal Leo and Tammy! - Posted by: Russell, Stephie Luch and Family (Lifelong family friends) on: Apr 16, 2016
