Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA (STEFANIA) MAHREL January 8, 1922 - April 21, 2016 Peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2016, Stella passed away at Grace Hospital, at the age of 94. Stella was predeceased by her husband, Andrij (1986), and son, Bohdan (1976). Left to cherish Stella's memory, daughter Myroslawa (Myra) Melnyk (Gerry); son, Roman; grandchildren James Melnyk (Chantelle Maksymetz) and Kristin Melnyk (Jason Mahon); and great-grandchildren Aiden and Ridley Melnyk; Justin and Isla Mahon. Mom was born January 8, 1922 in Rozniatow, Western Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1948 with her husband Andrij and daughter Myroslawa. In Canada, she had two sons, Bohdan and Roman. Stella was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent many hours tending to and enjoying her garden and prized tomatoes. Stella took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed visits with her family. A service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with a reception to follow.
