MARIA LEONOR LIMA After a courageous long battle with leukemia, Maria Leonor Lima passed away peacefully in her home with her family on May 6, 2016 at the age of 67. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Hermano de Medeiros Lima and leaves behind loving children, Ana Paula (Humberto) and Tommy. She is survived by her grandchildren, Michael James and Christopher Scott along with her mother Maria de Lourdes (predeceased father Silvino); her brother Humberto; sisters, Gloria (Eduino), Leontina (Carlos) and Eduarda (Augusto). She also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Maria was a loving person who extended her love to all those around her. Her smile would light up any room she walked into. She had a warmth about her that could only be explained if you were fortunate enough to have encountered. Maria had great style, she loved to dance, laugh, sing and camp with family friends. She enjoyed all gatherings that would involve laughing with those she loved. Our precious angel has been taken from us, always loving, always loved. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 10 at 8:00 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. both at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to CancerCare Manitoba. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
