EDWARD NEMIS Peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the age of 85 and after a long courageous battle with cancer, Ed passed away in the comfort of his home with his beloved Adeline by his side. Edward will be dearly missed by Adeline Wlasichuk, whom he was with for 44 wonderful years. Besides Adeline, he will be lovingly remembered by her children Ray (Nan), Gary (Kim), Cheryl (Tom), Brenda and their families. He is also survived by his daughter Rosanne. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Nellie Nemis. Ed had a long career as an electronics technician and retired from the CBC in 1985. In retirement he was very proud of walking 5 and one half miles every day winter and summer. Ed and Addie enjoyed dancing, golfing, going to the beach, going to Las Vegas and walking. In his last few years he loved playing pennies at the casino just for the fun of it. Ed was very appreciative of anyone who ever showed him kindness and was very grateful for the prayers of family and friends. We would like to give special thanks to the palliative care unit at St. Boniface Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba. At his request, a private graveside ceremony was held with interment at Brookside Cemetery.
