JOHANNA VAN WILLIGENBURG .... heavenly transcendence began Tuesday, May 10, 2016 as she passed. She is survived by two sisters; and her loving children, Irene (Roger), Gerry (Denise) and Maria (Greg), seven grandchildren, Ryan, Cassandra, Kizzy, Kelly, Kole, Justin and Lyndsey, and nine great-grandchildren, Cadence, Preston, Kylie, Jayde, Keefe, London, Fraley, Elijah and Ariana. Her life journey began May 12, 1936 in Utrecht, Netherlands and stretched over three countries. She loved music and movies and her Pomeranians were her passion in later years. Thank you to the Donwood Manor staff on the 1st floor for their care and comfort particularly in the last few arduous days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Her celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg with a private family interment to follow. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

My sincere condolences on Johanna's passing. I used to visit her when my son Keith was one of her Boarders when he went to University. She treated me like family and I loved our trips to the casino and the stories she told of her life. I will always remember for what she did for our son Keith. He also sends his condolences and remembers her like a mother. He is getting married this August 26th. Much love to the family and remember the great memories you all shared with her.
