Later, moving to Winnipeg and working for over 30 years at CNIB where she gained special friends. In keeping with her faith, she became a member of the Calvary Temple church and choir and a faithful follower of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Alda spent many hours on the bus visiting friends in nursing homes. When her health failed, she chose to live at Calvary Place PCH on Erin Street, Winnipeg. Through the years, Alda enjoyed crocheting doilies, beautiful dresses and tablecloths. Her special talent was playing her piano with hymns of the Faith and Praises to her Lord! On March 15, 2016 it was obvious that the Lord was calling her Home. With sister Eunice at her bedside, Alda opened her eyes and saw the Presence of Jesus. They both felt a very close Precious Loving Presence. It was so very real and a beautiful experience! "Your Presence is fullness of joy." Psalm 16:11 There is no fear of death when we know Jesus as our Personal Saviour! St. John 3:16 On March 21, a Celebration of Alda's life was officiated by Rev. Bruce Martin, assisted by Rev. B. Logan at Calvary Temple with favorite soloist, Tim Sturby singing "My Saviour First of All". Members of the family in Heaven waiting to greet Alda are: Gertie and Roy Horrill (mother and dad), sister Eileen Rossland, brother Ken Horrill and his three sons, Grant, LeRoy and Garrie, brother Hughie Cox and wife Gayle and grandson Adam Cox, Alda's nephew and niece, Greg Seller and Lynelle Gebhardt. Bardal Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements, 843 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg. Thank you everyone! Read what Jesus said: St. John Chaper 14: verses 1, 2 and 3 "Let not your heart be troubled... ... I go to prepare a place for you... .. I will come again and receive you unto Myself"
