JOSEPH STOYANOWSKI It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Stoyanowski on May 18, 2016. He was born August 13, 1920 to Regina and Dominic Stoyanowski. He is survived by one brother John, two sisters Sophie and Helen, two sons Don (Jody) and Joey (Sheila), one daughter Sherri (Gary), seven grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Lena (Kentz), daughter Jayne Samorodny, brothers Kazimir and Mike, and sisters, Bernice, Rose, and Mary. Born west of Arborg and enlisted in the army where he got his training as a mechanic in the R.C.E.M.E. Corps. After the war he opened Veteran's Garage, his own shop and farm implement dealership. He was well known for his amazing mechanical skills and could fix or build anything. Joseph loved his music and violins, shared his quick wit and sense of humour with many. He was a proud and generous father, grandfather and great- grandfather. A funeral service will be held at St. Philip's Neri Roman Catholic Church in Arborg, Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:30 a.m., with interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery and a light lunch to follow at the Arborg Community Hall.
