ANNY NEUFELD With great sadness, we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Anny Neufeld on Sunday, May 22, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband Franz; their sons Werner (Betty), Neil (Heather), Adolf (Charlene), and Ron; as well as six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. Viewing will be held Thursday, May 26 at 7:00 p.m., at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Prior to the service, an open invitation burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street. A memorial service will then be held at 3:30 p.m. in North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethania (Garden Fund) available at the service.

  • We met Anny at the Bethania assisted living complex, although mom and dad had been friends with them for years. She and her husband Franz always wore a smile and went out of their way to help at every opportunity. Making sure mom and dad got involved in all activities offered by helping push wheelchairs set up chairs and offer to run the movie night electronics. Anny loved to joke and we shared many a laugh with her along with hugs which made tough times more bearable. She was a very giving person and will be sorely missed by many friends.   • I am so saddened by this. I met Anny when I worked at Bethania PCH. After she found out my association with Jerry and Dale, conversations quickly changed to the family stories.
