HEINRICH GOETZ In loving memory of Heinrich Goetz, beloved wife of Frieda, who passed away peacefully on May 24th 2016, at the age of 88 years. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 28th 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay, with viewing prior at the church. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare.

I will always remember the way that Mr. and Mrs. Goetz welcomed me to their cottage after Will and I became friends. There were countless BBQs, all of which were preceded by the strange (to me) ritual of enjoying bbq'd weiners prior to the "real" meat hitting the grill. Remembering our fathers when they are alive and when they have passed on gives us that unique opportunity to see them in a post reflective perspective. It is then sometimes that we see what couldn't be seen at the time when they were busy being our dad. I think the best part is when we can see how hard they tried. It's in the trying that we are able to give them far more credit. I believe your dad Willie was one of those men who tried very hard to give his family the best life he could.
