CURTIS CARMAN BENNETT It is with great sadness, we announce Curtis Carman Bennett lost his battle with lung cancer on June 4, 2016. Curt will be sadly missed by his wife Bev, sons Jarrett (Terra Albus), and Myles (Marcie), grandsons Brysen and Trysten, sister Cheryl Martin (Bob), sister-in-law Diana Noel (Brian), God-daughter Jennifer Noel (Terry Brown) along with many nieces and nephews. Also missing Curt's presence are Roxy and Brewster. Curt was predeceased by his parents Lavina and Maurice and brothers Al, Ralph and Bruce. Curt's career began at Dominion Stores followed by Lake Shipper's Clearance Association and finally N.M. Paterson & Sons Marine Division. After a lengthy successful career at Paterson's, Curt retired to pursue his passion for golf. He will be missed by his many golfing buddies both in Winnipeg and Arizona where the Bennett's spent many winters as snowbirds. The family is very appreciative of the excellent care that Curt received from the physicians and nursing staff on GH6 at Health Science Centre and the Palliative Care Program of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. At Curt's request, there will be no formal service, however a celebration to honour his life will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at 14 Peters Street, Winnipeg, MB. If friends so desire, a donation may be made in Curt's memory to a charity of one's choice.
