Born: Oct 14, 1924
Date of Passing: Jun 13, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILE BRISSON (nee ROUGEAU) October 14, 1924 - June 13, 2016 Peacefully on Monday June 13th with family by her side, our dear mother Cécile passed away at Action Marguerite, St. Vital. Left to cherish mom's memory are her children, Renald (Sandra) Brisson, Louise (Wayne) Lerner, Janet (Leon) Crétain, Colette (Denis) Nadeau, Jean (Marivic) Brisson, Nicole Rogers; 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her brother-in-laws Denis (Yvette) Brisson and Kalman Foldi; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and special family friends Gail Brisson (Joe Savard), Allan (Faith) Tritthardt, and Dana Rogers. Mom was predeceased by her husband Viateur (Vic) Brisson, infant daughter Carole; daughters, Gisèle Bisson and Monique Tritthardt; infant grandchild Jennifer-Lea Brisson, and grandson Robbie Brisson. Mom was known for her wonderful cooking and baking skills, often hosting our large family gatherings. At Lac du Bonnet, she enjoyed sharing the fruits of her garden with all her friends and family. She also enjoyed many trips and adventures with loved ones. Her favourite pastime was challenging others to a good game of cribbage. It was important to her that her cribbage skills were passed on to all her children and grandchildren. Mom was a sweet, kind, loving woman who would always have a smile and a positive word to share with everyone she met. Her favorite saying was "Don't worry, be happy." She drew her strength and wisdom from her solid faith and commitment to prayer. We will miss her dearly and keep her memory close to our hearts. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff, volunteers and caregivers at Résidence Despins and Action Marguerite St. Vital, and many dear friends who helped mom walk through her last years with us. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 18 at St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 avenue de la Cathédrale, Winnipeg, with Viewing at 9:30 a.m., Eulogy at 9:45 a.m., Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Green Acres Cemetery, Highway 1 East at Navin Road. - Posted by: Gilbert & Lise Ruest (Friends of Denis and Colette Nadeau) on: Jun 16, 2016
