DAVID CHARLES SANDERSON David Charles Sanderson, aged 50, tragically died on Wednesday, July 22, 2016. He was born in Ashern, MB on October 11, 1965. He is loved and missed by his surviving sisters Rosemary and Anita. David was a hard working man who had a gift of telling stories and making everyone around him laugh. He loved living in the North End where he had many friends. Anyone who knew David knew they had a friend who was always willing to help. Although David was not a rich man he knew how to be resourceful and stretch a dollar to make ends meet. As a child he loved reading Conan magazines and still enjoyed watching Star Trek. He regretted never graduating from high school but one would never know as he was a champ at doing the hardest crossword puzzles. He loved his favorite cat Maximus (Max) and he spoiled him relentlessly. David always bragged about his nephews Joseph, Gabriel Jr., Isaac, Kyle, Virgil, Rocky and late Alex, to all his friends. He loved his only favorite Uncle Skip and they would have long conversations on the phone with David always telling him jokes. He was predeceased by grandparents, Donald and Mary; parents, Edward, Theresa; brothers, Fred, Norman; and baby sister Audrey (Audi) and his only son, Cyrus. David will be forever loved and missed by his two surviving sisters, Uncle Skip and Aunty Susan, nephews, niece, numerous cousins and many friends. The family would like to thank all those who have helped during this difficult time and thank Cropo Funeral Chapel. A celebration of David's life will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 45 Dalhousie Drive. Refreshments to follow. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at O Chi Chak Ko Sipi First Nation at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission in his memory. You truly were the last man standing 204-586-8044

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • You were one of the most articulate and interesting people I ever had the opportunity to meet. We met when I was still a kid and your stories opened my mind to another world. Although it's been many many years, I've often thought of you and always a smile across my face when you came to mind. I'm so so sorry you left this world in this way and I hope you rest in peace knowing you will be greatly missed by all who had the chance to know you. Goodnight my friend. - Posted by: Gizella Hejjas (friend) on: Jun 30, 2016

  • My heartfelt condolences on your loss. John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - Posted by: Heather Newbiggin (Friend of Rosemary's ) on: Jun 28, 2016

  • Dave was a bright shining light on a dark day, and a friend indeed if you were in need. It was an honour to know him, work beside him, and speak too him daily. My favourite days were the days I was able to give him a lift to work if I happened to see him on my way over the bridge, and regardless of the good it did him, I always felt I got the better of the deal by spending that short ride with him. I never new a man that would actually turn down a free Tims in the morning but Dave sometimes would. He was the hardest working man on our site. I have love in my heart and sorrow for this man who would give all of himself and demand nothing in return. He deserves the utmost love, honour and respect. I love you Dave and do not believe I won't see you again on another project. The world will be to quiet and dark without you. Nick - Posted by: Nick Oswald (Co -worker admirer ) on: Jun 27, 2016
