LOIS THERESA SPEARMAN (née JOHNS) February 16, 1933 - July 6, 2016 After a lengthy illness, Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 6, 2016 at the age of 83. She is survived by her six children: Lorne, Wayne (Brenda), Ross, Claire, Joel (Leslie) and Scott (Gloria); as well as eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn: her sisters, Mary Tinling (Harold) and Carol Allen (David); her brother Edward Johns (Kathy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was the first born child to Elias and Eileen Johns and was predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted) and nephew Dan Tinling. Mom was a strong and remarkable woman who worked hard for all the blessings in her life. She was very proud of her family and everyone knew it when they walked into her home and saw the several dozen pictures that decorated her walls. The family would like to thank the staff at the Misericordia Health Centre for the excellent care and compassion that they provided to Mom. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Flowers are gratefully declined.
