LILLIAN FOSTER January 17, 1922 - July 12, 2016 Lillian Foster (nee Bordun) was born in Sundown, Manitoba, on January 17, 1922. She was the fourth child of 12 children. Lillian was an excellent student and excelled in literature and spelling as anyone, who played scrabble against her could attest too. She was very helpful and hardworking. Lillian travelled to Montreal where she worked as a maid in people's homes as well as in a factory. From Montreal she moved to Winnipeg and got a job working in a restaurant where she meet John Foster. John and Lillian had three children, Joanne, Lucy and Roy. She raised her children while she worked alongside John in his home contracting business. Lillian was a sociable person who enjoyed having friends and family over for coffee and cookies or for one of her delicious homemade meals. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, canning and especially reading. She never complained, instead she enjoyed giving a helping hand to others. She was a very thoughtful person who loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The funeral service for Lillian will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Soul Sanctuary, 2050 Chevrier Blvd, Winnipeg, MB.
